A person cannot apply if it has been less than 5 years since the date of conviction. Other rules apply (see MCL 780.621)
The following is needed:
- A Register of Actions (ROA)
- They need to fill out an “APPLICATION TO SET ASIDE CONVICTION” and it must be notarized by the court.
- They must get fingerprinted (and get a fingerprint card) at:

(Complete personal information on the card. Make sure that the place labeled “FBI & State” is marked in block E of the card under “Search Requirements”).
They must send the three above items (ROA, Application to set aside conviction, and fingerprint card) along with a $50 money order to:

Allow 4-6 weeks for processing and mail delivery.
